BMW M1 Procar – a hero and cult car figure of the 80s
Built between 1979 and 1981, the BMW M1 felt right at home in various racing events as a procar version. In addition to its own Procar Series as part of the Formula 1 racing events, it was also used for endurance races. The Castrol team from Denmark, for example, started in 1984 with a BMW M1 Procar at the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team with start number 101 was able to win during qualifying with the best time in class B. During the race, however, the team with drivers Jens Winther, David Mercer and Lars-Viggo Jensen had to retire prematurely. After 96 laps, the team had to give up the race.
Can this cult car show what it's made of on the Carrera race track?
This car with start number 101 comes directly from Le Mans to your Carrera race track on a scale of 1:24. Thanks to the original BMW license, this slot car looks just like its bigger role model. Headlights, rear and brake lights also provide that authentic racing feeling. The BMW M1 Procar Carrera Slot Car can also be individually coded and digitally controlled.
