More than 40 years ago,the first police Porsche was alreadyCarrera
patrolling the
racetrack: from 1967 to 1974, the Porsche 911 with a blue light was part of the Universal 132 lineup. The large number of preserved, pre-assembled models suggests that the model must have been very popular at the time.
While the original model featured a simple white body, the current model rolls onto the track in a smart silver-and-blue color scheme. Modern technology has also made its way into the emergency light: no mechanical interrupter contact like in the ’60s. The lighting is controlled via a digital circuit board. This system is already familiar from the Audi R8 DTM Safety Car, so it has the same operating modes:

off. The Porsche is programmed as a pace car, the turn signals turn on when leaving the pit lane and turn off again after about 15 seconds.
