The first police Porsche was on patrol on a Carrera racetrack over 40 years ago : the Porsche 911 with blue lights was in the Universal 132 range from 1967 to 1974. The high number of surviving models that have been played with suggests that the model must have been very popular at the time.

While the original model was equipped with a plain white body, the current model rolls onto the starting line in a smart silver-blue color scheme. And modern technology has also found its way into the blue light: no mechanical breaker contact as in the 60s. The lighting is controlled via the digital circuit board. This is already familiar from the Audi R8 DTM Safety Car, so it has the same operating modes:

Vehicle lighting and indicators on
only indicator light on
vehicle lighting only on
Vehicle lighting and indicators off
if the Porsche is programmed as a pace car, the indicator lights switch on when leaving the pit lane and are switched off again after approx. 15 seconds

Equipped in this way, the chase can begin - not only on digital, but also on analog racetracks!
