Carrera D132/Evo Opel GT Race II

A classic in every sense of the word
Review by CoMod Carrera124 of the Carrera DIGITAL 132 / Evolution Opel GT Race II (30575/27370)

What do you write about a car that absolutely everyone knows?

We’re talking about the Opel GT. After three variants were released last year, another racing variant is now hitting the market, christened “Race 2.”

The color scheme is both classic and appealing: a bold orange-red paired with black decorative stripes. It looks excellent on this little Opel. Attentive longtime fans will find the color combination familiar: a rarer version of the Universal 132 Porsche Turbo clearly served as the inspiration.

The chassis is identical to that of the previously released variants: a major advantage is its relatively low weight, which gives the vehicle exceptionally aggressive acceleration. I'm still not a fan of the front independent suspension, but it doesn't have a negative impact on handling here.

The magnets are extremely strong —for a more enjoyable ride, I recommend removing at least the rear magnet.
