Review by CoMod long of Carrera DIGITAL 132 /Evolution Audi R8 GT LMS United Autosports, No. 23 (Art.Nr. 30569/27365) The
Audi R8 LMS from the British-American team United Autosports looks fantastic just at first glance—this is exactly what real Super GTs should look like!
Appearance:
With both cars, the truly superb attention to detail immediately stands out. The wheels fit perfectly and true to the prototype in the wheel wells, and the color scheme suits the R8 very well!
Technical Details:
The axle play—the concentricity of the axles—is exactly as you’d want it in the test versions. TheEvolution naturally has a bit more space than the DIGITAL 132 , due to the absence of the light unit, but it’s worth noting that the appearance is even better with the lights on. The front keel section features a new, significantly increased range of motion, which naturally has a very positive effect on handling—it’s a true racer.
Workmanship:
The paint job and graphics are excellent, and the two test versions show no other flaws whatsoever. The axles rotate smoothly and easily, and the tires provide plenty of grip, no matter which setup you choose.
Handling:
In terms of handling, you get exactly what you expect and want: a GT-class super sports car that can always be pushed to the limit, regardless of the setup or speed. Top grade of 1 with a star from me!
Conclusion:
This was about the Audi R8 LMS 132, but as a fan of the 124 series, I’d like to mention that a 1:24 scale model of these cars is long overdue.

************Review by CoMod JoergW of theCarrera DIGITAL 132 Audi R8 GT LMS Phoenix Racing, ADAC GT Masters 2009, No. 14
(Art.Nr
. 30570) The
new Audi R8 LMS model is the Phoenix Racing Team’s car, as it was fielded in the 2009 ADAC GT Masters.
At just under 260,000 euros, this production-based race car—with the
internal designation R16—is almost a bargain for a car that meets GT3 regulations. The model, withCarrera
its striking silver-and-black livery, is neatly painted and
assembled. There’s also no reason
to criticize the decals and small add-on parts . The only issue is that, on this particular model
, a small area of paint on the left side mirrorisn’t fully opaque.
Overall, the Audi has excellent lighting, though
unfortunately the right taillight onmy model isn’t working. The Audi R8 LMS’s handling characteristics are, of course, well known. I find the car very pleasant to drive, though it’s not exactly the quietest.
