joining the DTM, Miguel Molina has become a fixture in the series. To date, he has raced exclusively in Audi vehicles, first in the A4 DTM and then, starting in 2012, in the A5 DTM.

In 2013, Audi realized that it actually already had a sports model in its lineup—the RS5—much like how BMW’s M3 represents the sportiest version of the 3 Series. Consequently, the Audi A5 DTM was renamed the Audi RS5 DTM. The model bears this exact lettering—in large white letters on a red paint finish. Together with the white body components, this results in a minimalist yet striking design. And just like with the previous DTM cars of the current generation, they’ve Carrera made sure to have a colorful field of starters—which wasn’t always the case in the past.

To be honest, I can’t tell you anything new about the handling. Anyone who’s already driven one of the other Audi models knows that Carrera they’ve gotten a lot right here. While the model isn’t exactly a lightweight, it handles briskly and smoothly. There’s complete freedom of choice when it comes to the magnet configuration—it can be used with a full set of magnets or without the magnetic boosters. In the latter case, it makes sense to use tires from third-party manufacturers.

Conclusion: a successful model that we hope
will remain available in additional design variantsfor a long time to come.
