The quote comes from Slottus, who, after I submitted the review for the new 911 GT3 HARIBO, suggested that we also release the black Mercedes SLS and the gold Corvette.

The 911 GT3 RSR has been part of the Digital124 lineup since 2009, but in terms of handling, it’s still far from obsolete.
Sure, the newer cars have better suspension systems. But since the 911 GT3 RSR was—and still is, in my opinion—one of the best cars Carrera ever released, it still cuts a very fine figure on the track today. And over the past six years, a few visual treats have also been released, with the most beautiful versions (alongside the red SCUDERIA ITALIA from 2010) coming out this year: the GULF and the HARIBO.

For many years, the drivers led by team manager Hans Guido Riegel have been competing in various racing series as brand ambassadors for the Bonn-based candy manufacturer.

In the early days, they raced Porsche 911s; in 2012, they even raced two gold-colored Corvette Z06s in the VLN. In 2013 and 2014, the drivers led by veteran Udo Alzen were unfortunately not as successful as they had been during the triumphant years of 2010–2012, though this was partly due to bad luck. As a result, the team retired their car from the pits during one VLN race at the Nürburgring in both 2013 and 2014 due to a faulty fuel system. “Of course, we would have liked a better end to the season,” driver Mike Stursberg sums up. “But it doesn’t make sense to go through the trouble of extensive practice and test sessions to gain fractions of a second, only to then have to accept time losses in the range of minutes because the fuel system’s technology is unreliable at the Nürburgring.”
“The team has been racing a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 since 2015.
