Ferrari with built-in virus scanner?
Well, almost. Kaspersky, the well-known security software manufacturer, is the main sponsor of this Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, driven by the AF Corse racing team from Piacenza.
The Blancpain Endurance Series is a motor racing series for GT3 Gran Turismo cars, with the season highlight being the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The series also features endurance races lasting 3 and 6 hours.
The main and title sponsor of the series is the Swiss watch company Blancpain.
There is not much more to say about the model vehicle ( see also my report).
The design is excellently chosen, it almost turns the Ferrari's otherwise rather beefy and aggressive front look into a "friendly face" and, with its color scheme, is very easy to recognize on the track and distinguish from other vehicles.
The driver figure is very well executed and fits the vehicle perfectly. I already mentioned the very well-made imitation engine in my last report, but I always enjoy seeing details like this.
There's nothing to complain about when it comes to the technical design of the vehicle; it can go straight onto the track—well, depending on the situation, you just remove the magnets, but otherwise everything is race-ready.
If you take a closer look at the paintwork, it's almost a shame to subject it to harsh racing conditions - but even if it looks like it, it's not a static model and dents and paint chips are somehow inevitable on a real racing car.
