Petronas ...
is a state-owned oil company in Malaysia and is one of the 500 largest companies in the world.
Petronas has been a sponsor in motor racing since 1995. Large-format sponsor lettering,
first on Sauber F1 cars, then on BMW/Sauber cars and now on
Mercedes vehicles always put the sponsor in the limelight. On this 1:24 model, the company logo is also large and centrally positioned on the hood.
Optik:
The Mercedes in the corporate colors of Petronas is of course very recognizable on the track
recognizable on the track, but as a model it looks rather old-fashioned. The beefy and aggressive shape
of the Mercedes is somewhat lost in this variant in my opinion.
I still like many details on the model, such as brakes, rims and the vehicle interior
round off the overall impression.
Technik:
Actually all familiar components. The front light is bright enough, and also suitable for night racing
suitable. The rear lights are bright, the brake lights are clearly recognizable and could prevent the odd
Rear-end collision on the track. The tires have sufficient grip, but are
quite thin, so sanding is only possible with caution.
Verarbeitung:
The paintwork and clearcoat are clean. All other
Components such as decals and the technical components are flawless and cleanly assembled.
Wheels and axles turn easily and run smoothly. The vehicle does not cause any problems and can
directly onto the track.
Fahrverhalten:
The vehicle is already a heavyweight and must be driven accordingly
i find the handling with and without the magnet to be quite balanced and
pleasant, although it is not one of my favorite 1:24 scale GT vehicles.
