Belgian driver Maxime Martin was part of the BMW driver lineup in the DTM from 2014 to 2017. He had already made a name for himself thanks to his versatility: the FIA WEC, ADAC GT Masters, ALMS, and Blancpain Endurance Series, to name just a few of the most prominent series in which he competed. In the DTM, he achieved considerable success with 3 wins and 10 podium finishes, though he was unable to contend for the championship.
The look of his race car didn’t change significantly over the course of those four years; its distinguishing feature was always the white-and-blue color scheme combined with the logo of his sponsor, Samsung. As for handling, I must—or rather, can—say the same thing as I do about all other 1:32-scale DTM cars: at 107 grams, the BMW packs quite a punch, though on the other hand, the car isn’t exactly small. The weight gives the model good road holding without making it feel sluggish. It moves forward briskly and is easy to control, with no unexpected surprises.
