Art.Nr. 23880—for when
things aren't going so well on the track again ;-)
In front of me is the new
As for the base vehicle itself, the Audi R8 LMS, there’s not much to say—it’s been on the market for years and is a popular choice in
The basic color scheme of neon yellow and dark blue with white design elements looks great and is therefore easily recognizable on the track. The paint job is generally very well done; however, on a few small edges—likely due to manufacturing processes—a very faint greenish sheen is visible under certain lighting conditions—it’s just the nature of blue and yellow.
The axles run smoothly and have sufficient play. The front axle turns very easily and has a long coast. The drive axle has sufficient play; the vehicle accelerates quickly and runs quite quietly. The tires have good grip and sit snugly on the rims. The black-painted rims complement the overall design.
The best part, however, is that this model does not feature the tinted windows typically found on vehicles with special signals. The extra effort required to hide the wiring for the blue light unit is rewarded with a custom-designed driver’s seat and interior featuring a roll cage and fire extinguisher—if you wish for something strongly enough and long enough, it will eventually come true ;-)—keep up the good work.
The blue light can be activated—as usual—using the front button on the control stick (all off, lights, lights + blue light, blue light only). It doesn’t have any sound effects—
Just my two cents.
See you later, joergW
