The Ferrari FXX K Evoluzione is based on the LaFerrari, which CARRERA already included in its regular lineup from 2013 to 2016. The LaFerrari was a slot car that took some getting used to in terms of handling. The same applies to the EVOLUZIONE:
With a full set of magnets, the model sticks to the track, so things inevitably get intense right from the start. The margin for error is very low; if you overdo it, you’ll spin out immediately. However, once you’ve got the hang of it and found your style with the car, fast lap times are possible and the car is a lot of fun. It probably wouldn’t be any different with a real race car. Without the rear magnet, lap times drop, but the car is much easier to control in corners. However, tire grip does reach its limits in this setup.Without any magnets at all, the Ferrari is difficult to drive because it delivers too much power to the track; it just wobbles around or loses control too quickly. Anyone who prefers this setup will need to invest in different tires at the very least and may need to add lead weights to the car.
