The Ford GT race car is the successor to the 2004 Ford GT, which in turn is the successor to the legendary Ford GT40 from the 1960s. Although with some interruptions, the manufacturer remains true to its commitment to the GT sports car segment.
This model is now the ninth (!) design variant of this vehicle type in the large 1:24 scale, so the design has certainly paid off. In terms of technical specifications, there are no changes—the Ford GT remains one of the heavier GT cars, but this also gives it solid handling on the track. As a rival model, it pairs perfectly with the Corvette and the Porsche 911 RSR, and another new GT release—the BMW M4—is still on the way. So, new additions to the GT class are well taken care of.
