Ford GT 40 MKII "No.1", 1966

Informationen:
An icon in motorsport
It happened in 1966 at the most famous race in the world in north-west France: The light blue Ford GT 40 was supposed to cross the finish line first, beating arch-rival Ferrari. Shortly after the Fords with starting numbers 1 and 2 crossed the finish line and the race was waved off, there was great confusion. Four drivers were of the opinion that they had won the race. However, due to the greater distance covered, the GT 40 with start number 2 won, although the number 1 car was in the lead. It was the closest finish ever in this race. The Ford GT 40 was specially redesigned for the 1966 season - the 4.7 liter engine was replaced by a larger, more powerful 7.0 liter engine in order to win the race.
First place on the Carrera podium!
Ford fought fiercely for the sports car championship crown in 1966. The 1:24 scale slot car is a tribute to the car of that time. With the legendary blue 1966 No. 1 paintwork, the vehicle races away from everyone on the Carrera racetrack. Equipped with front and rear lights as well as brake lights, it can reach its top speed on the racetrack without being overlooked. The car can be controlled digitally, but can also be used in analog mode and can also be individually coded.

A speedster from the 1960s
The Lola T70 MKIIIb "No.99" with its V8 engine is another eye-catcher in the Carrera racing stable. The Lola T70 was developed in England and the USA in 1965 by the British racing car manufacturer Lola Cars. Only 88 of these were produced in total, making the racing car an absolute rarity. It is known from historic racing events and of course from books and films. We can only speculate as to whether it would still be possible to register it on the road today, but the 95 cm high sports car would certainly leave officials speechless. Now you too can drive the classic red Lola T70 MKIIIb "No.99" around your local racetrack.
Unique classic car enjoyment
Screaming colors are "out" - roaring colors are "in" - is the motto for the Lola T70 MKIIIb "No.99". The first variant was the Lola T70 Spyder. The Lola T70 Mk II Spyder appeared in 1966 and was replaced by the Lola Mk III Spyder model in 1967. John Surtees became world champion in the CanAm series in a Lola in 1966, but only won one race against the McLaren M6A-Chevrolet the following year. The first closed version was the Lola Mk III Coupé, which appeared in 1967. It was replaced by the Type Mk IIIB Coupé, which appeared in 1969 and was only built until 1970. The slot car is equipped with front, rear and brake lights and is recommended from the age of 10. It is also digitally controllable and can be individually coded. So step on the gas and drive the fastest lap on the long circuit!
