Our mission
How do we want to make sustainability tangible?
Based on legal requirements—and even going beyond them—we have defined clear and measurable key performance indicators (KPIs) that we review regularly to ensure we are making progress toward our sustainability goals. These KPIs drive us forward and enable us to track and adjust our progress.
What makes us special?
Most of our products are not only durable but are also designed to be collectibles, which enhances their longevity and value—many products remain in the home for a lifetime or are passed down from generation to generation.
Our strategy to achieve our ESG goals
Through our actions and work, we strive to shape a positive future for the world. We want to actively contribute to making the world a better place for everyone.

Go Governance/Corporate Governance
Corporate policy
Our supplier relationships are largely based on long-standing partnerships. Payment terms are clearly defined, and in some cases, suppliers receive advance funding. A binding Code of Conduct governs our collaboration with suppliers and ensures that ethical and fair practices are upheld. We implement ESG KPIs by adopting the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) in accordance with the ESRS (European Single Reporting System) and preparing reports in line with the taxonomy guidelines. In addition, we are working on reports and sustainability reports.
Comprehensive compliance guidelines are in place at our main locations, which every employee must sign. These rules ensure that our business is conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards. We are currently working to standardize and implement these compliance rules across the entire corporate group.
We provide our employees with a dedicated whistleblower email address. This allows them to report concerns or misconduct anonymously, thereby contributing to the transparency and integrity of our corporate governance.

Our workforce throughout the supply chain, as well as our manufacturers, are certified according to BSCI standards. This certification ensures compliance with social and environmental standards, enabling us to promote fair and sustainable production.
Our products are accessible to all customers without restriction. This means that everyone, regardless of their personal characteristics, has access to our products and can enjoy them.
Supply Chain Protection Act
We comply with the Supply Chain Protection Act (LKSG) and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). We use various communication tools to respond to inquiries from customers, retailers, and end consumers. Through our Code of Conduct, compliance guidelines, and BSCI certifications, we ensure that our suppliers comply with the LKSG.

Sustainable Consumption and Production
Customer and repair service
The positive impacts of our repair service are manifold. First, we enable our customers to repair and continue using their products instead of throwing them away and buying new ones. In doing so, we make an important contribution to reducing waste and conserving resources. Furthermore, we promote sustainable consumption by prioritizing the durability and repairability of our products.
Our repair services also help strengthen our customers’ trust in our brand, as they can count on us to continue supporting them even after their purchase. Overall, our repair services are an important part of our sustainability strategy and an example of how we can make a positive contribution to the environment through innovative solutions.
Packaging
This transition has several positive effects. For one thing, it significantly reduces our consumption of raw materials and contributes to protecting the environment. By using sustainable materials, we also reduce the environmental impact of our entire product lifecycle, from manufacturing to disposal.
By reducing the size of our packaging, we also minimize the volume required for transport and storage. This has a positive impact on the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The switch to sustainable packaging materials and the reduction in the size of our packaging are important steps on our path toward more environmentally friendly and sustainable product design.
Durable products
The durability of our products has a positive impact on the environment, as it helps reduce waste. By using high-quality materials and robust designs, our products can be used for long periods of time without losing any of their quality or performance. This reduces the need to replace products frequently and thus minimizes the waste that ends up in landfills or needs to be recycled.
Our commitment to durability is a central component of our sustainability strategy and a testament to our dedication to offering products that not only meet our customers’ needs but also make a positive contribution to preserving our environment.
Climate change
Adaptation to climate change
Adapting to the challenges of climate change is of critical importance for businesses, as it has far-reaching implications for a wide range of business areas. On the one hand, consumer behavior is shifting toward a greater focus on sustainable products. Consumers increasingly prefer environmentally friendly and socially responsible offerings. Companies that recognize and act on these trends early on have a clear advantage.
At the same time, climate change is leading to significant fluctuations in raw material prices and service costs. Climate-related events such as droughts, storms, or floods can disrupt production and significantly increase the cost of raw materials. Transportation is also repeatedly disrupted by natural disasters, which can lead to supply bottlenecks and higher transportation costs.
Overall, it is essential for companies like ours to proactively adapt to the challenges of climate change—which is why we plan to implement various measures in the future.
Climate protection
To actively promote climate protection and adapt to climate change, we will be implementing a series of changes in the future. Our products, which have largely been made of plastic and manufactured in the Far East, will increasingly be produced using alternative, sustainable raw materials. This will allow us to reduce our use of petroleum-based materials and decrease our dependence on non-renewable resources.
We will also be exploring new approaches to transportation. While shipping to Europe remains our preferred mode of transport, we will increasingly rely on lower-emission transport modes and methods to minimize our environmental footprint. This could include the use of more energy-efficient ships or alternative energy sources. At the same time, we are developing alternative marketing and distribution concepts to optimize supply chains and reduce associated emissions.
We manufacture at various locations. In addition to China, we have deliberately established production sites in Europe and the U.S. near our distribution centers to reduce transportation distances and the associated CO2 emissions.
Another key focus is on resource conservation. We will implement measures to reduce energy and water consumption and use existing raw materials more efficiently. This includes optimizing production processes as well as promoting recycling and the circular economy.
To assess and manage our efforts, we create comprehensive carbon footprints (CCF) for all locations, including relevant Scope 3 emissions. This enables us to identify and implement targeted measures to reduce emissions. Through these comprehensive adjustments and our focus on sustainable practices, we are actively contributing to climate protection while ensuring the long-term viability of our company.
Energy
Although the companies within the Carrere Revell Group do not operate any manufacturing facilities themselves, we are aware that our suppliers use energy-intensive production processes. For this reason, we are actively addressing the issue of energy consumption and are currently exploring the transition to green electricity and alternative energy sources within our supply chain. Through these measures, we aim to contribute to reducing our carbon footprint and improving the sustainability of our entire value chain. The use of renewable energy and the promotion of energy-efficient technologies are at the heart of our efforts to minimize our environmental impact and promote more environmentally friendly production methods in the long term.

Social/Social
Employees
What goals do we set ourselves in terms of personnel management and development?
In modern human resources management and development, targeted initiatives play a central role in attracting the best employees and continuously optimizing shared development goals. A key objective is to promote efficient work and facilitate better collaboration. Through targeted development programs and a culture of continuous learning, not only is productivity increased, but employee motivation and retention are also strengthened.
Carrera Revell GmbH.
Healthy and motivated employees are the foundation of every successful company. Health promotion initiatives and a positive work environment help reduce sick leave and increase employee satisfaction. This results in lower turnover, as satisfied employees are less likely to leave the company.
These aspects are essential for remaining an attractive employer and succeeding in the competition for talent. Companies that support their employees and foster a healthy work environment lay the groundwork for positive employee feedback in the future. Such recognition strengthens employer branding and continues to attract highly qualified professionals, perpetuating the cycle of success and excellence in human resources management and development.
In the future, all our employees will also be required to sign a Code of Conduct that ensures compliance with the company’s clear behavioral guidelines and ethical standards—such as integrity, respect, fairness, and professionalism—in interactions with one another, with external partners, and with customers. The Code of Conduct promotes a unified corporate culture and conveys the values and principles of
Health and well-being in the workplace
To achieve these goals, we already comply with all legal requirements regarding occupational health and workplace safety.
In addition, we offer our employees various health initiatives, such as bike leasing to integrate physical activity into their daily work routine, as well as healthy meals in the cafeteria at our Puch location to support a balanced diet. Participation in the Salzburg Business Run not only promotes physical fitness but also strengthens team spirit and collaboration.
In the future, we plan to implement additional measures to promote health in the workplace, including height-adjustable standing desks and ergonomic IT equipment where medically necessary—for example, to prevent back problems. Gym subsidies and a selection of free beverages and fruit also contribute to physical health.
In addition to physical aspects, we also place great importance on the mental health of our employees. Measures such as mental training, autogenic training, and workshops on stress and burnout prevention are intended to support well-being and mental health; the ideal implementation of these measures is currently being thoroughly reviewed. A pilot project featuring hotlines for employees has been underway at our Puch location since 2023. Overall, we strive to create a work environment that prioritizes the health and well-being of our employees and supports them in reaching their full potential.
Development programs for employees
To achieve these goals, since mid-2024 we have provided our employees with access to a business account on the LinkedIn Learning platform, where they can take advantage of a wide range of training programs and courses to continuously expand their skills and knowledge. Additionally, employees can, upon consultation and based on their own interests and talents, access further individualized training to optimally develop their personal skills.
In addition, we intend to make targeted investments in training for managers to ensure they possess the necessary skills and competencies to effectively lead and motivate their teams. A code of conduct for managers serves as a guide for positive and respectful leadership behavior, complemented by a variety of new options, such as the efficient use of project management tools or the implementation and use of regular feedback sessions.
We also plan to increasingly offer middle management access to seminars and boot camps in the future.
In addition to these measures, we regularly organize team-building events, company parties, and other activities such as hiking trips or sledding outings to strengthen team spirit and foster camaraderie. In the future, we also plan to hold a charity day where a group of employees comes together for a charitable cause.
To further motivate our employees, we offer corporate benefits such as employee discounts, remote work options, work-life balance initiatives, lunch, and modern work environments.
Overall, we are committed to a holistic approach to human resources development that takes into account the individual needs and potential of our employees, enabling them to perform at their best and continue to grow
Further measures to promote and develop employees
To sustainably improve employee satisfaction and efficiency within the company, we rely on a wide range of additional HR initiatives.
Carrera , Revell offers Carrera employees who are members of a sports club the opportunity to apply to sponsor their team, for example through jersey sponsorship; the project launched in 2024. This initiative not only fosters employee retention but also strengthens team spirit and identification with the company.
We regularly survey our employees on various relevant topics to gauge the overall sentiment among the workforce.
The Young Talent Forum, which will be launched shortly, offers young and new employees the opportunity to engage in regular dialogue with senior management. This forum promotes dialogue and participation, allowing innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to flow directly into corporate management.
Training on data protection and compliance is an integral part of our professional development offerings. These training sessions ensure that all employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to meet legal requirements and safeguard the integrity of the company.
Suggestions for improvement from employees are an integral part of our internal processes and help strengthen the company’s innovative capacity and establish a culture of continuous improvement.
