The Corvette Racing Chevrolet C8.R is a true champion. The car is considered one of the most powerful GT vehicles of all time. With starting number 3, the Corvette dominated the first third of the race at Sebring in the GTLM class and led the chasing pack for the first three hours. However, it was forced to admit defeat to the #25 BMW Team RLL BMW M8 GTE due to emergency braking and a pit stop. In the end, however, it still finished in a very good second place. Three Porsche 917s took part in a famous 24-hour race in Florida in 1970. First presented in Geneva in 1969, the sports car, powered by a twelve-cylinder mid-engine and with an output of 520 hp, was one of the most successful racing cars of the 1970s. Swiss driver Jo Siffert and Brit Brian Redman from the J.W. Engineering team with starting number 1 secured second place in Florida - beaten only by their team rivals, who also competed with the Porsche 917.
