The Plymouth Superbird was developed in the 1970s with its aerodynamic, extended rear wing and streamlined front for the US stock car racing series. After an impressive test drive, driver Norm Nelson had to have a Superbird to compete in the USAC championship - the improvement over the regular Road Runner was too striking. Fortunately, Richard "The King" Petty's racing team changed the type of car, the car changed hands and Nelson contested the rest of the 1971 season in a "royal used car".

In the 2020 season of the well-known GT championship of Germany's largest automobile club, the Audi R8 LMS from BWT Mücke Motorsport will be driven by Berlin racing driver Mike Beckhusen and Polish driver Igor Walilko. The 20-year-old Beckhusen is known to motorsport fans beyond the borders of Germany. In 2019, he contested the GT4 Championship and finished fourth in the Junior classification. Cool retro liveries
Ford has unveiled a unique series of "Celebration Liveries" for the Ford Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GTs ahead of the 2019 Le Mans 24 Hours. Each of the four Ford GTs wears a livery that celebrates the manufacturer's success at La Sarthe in France both today and in the 1960s. Like the GT40 in which Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon won the French endurance race in 1966, the Ford GT with the number 66 was painted black and white. In 2019, the retro-painted Ford was driven to 25th place by the driver trio Stefan Mücke, Olivier Pla and Billy Johnson.

Cross the finish line in style!
With the Ford Capri Zakspeed Turbo "No.52", you can really step on the gas on the track. The stylish car in black, red and yellow livery was sponsored by a Berlin spirits manufacturer and driven by German racing driver Hans Heyer, who was the first to cross the finish line at the German racing championship on the Nürburgring. The large rear spoiler was typical of this racing era and makes the beefy overall design perfect for long distance racing. Zakspeed is a racing team that has been active in motor racing since 1968 and is based in Niederzissen/Eifel. It was founded by Erich Zakowski. Since the 1990s, his son Peter Zakowski has managed the team at international events in various racing series.
The four-cylinder in-line engine (a Zakspeed further development of the BDA engine designed by Cosworth for Ford, based on the 1.3 liter Kent engine) produces 540 hp and a displacement of 1740 cc. An aluminum tubular frame, independent front suspension on McPherson struts, rear aluminum rigid axle on four trailing arms, gas pressure shock absorbers and titanium coil springs, ventilated disc brakes front and rear, ensure a total weight of only 880kg (without fuel).

The Ford Capri was a star of the German Racing Championship. The multiple DRM winner in Hockenheim is said to have to scream at the engine to keep its eardrums from bursting. Porsche 911 RSR "Pink Pig Design, "No.92"

A new car with an old look - with a great design to the top!
Porsche came up with something very special for the 86th edition of the famous French 24-hour race in 2018. The Porsche 911 RSR with starting number 92 was presented in pink, harking back to the design of the "Pink Pig 917/20" from 1971. With this special design, the Porsche took the lead and won the race after 344 laps. Porsche really caused quite a stir with the pig design.
A real eye-catcher - even on the Carrera track at home
The slot car in pink design comes in 1:32 scale to the home racetrack and is an unmistakable eye-catcher there too. Not only the historic design, but also the front, rear and brake lights make the speedster so realistic.
