In November 2016, the collector community was thrown into a bit of a tizzy when a Evolution “Hightech Race BWT vs. Euronics” starter pack suddenly appeared on various sales platforms . It contained two Mercedes C-Coupe AMG DTM models: one was the well-known blue-and-yellow model driven by Gary Paffett, and the other was a previously unknown model in pink.

A fake? Special Edition? Neither—it’s simply an early release of a 2017 model that made its debut in this special set. And as has already been discussed in the forum, the design doesn’t quite match the existing body shape, since Lucas Auer actually drove the successor model in the original race. Nevertheless, the adaptation to the now rather old 2013 body style is very well done, and the black rims add to the overall look.

As for the technology and handling, though, I can't tell you anything new, even if I tried: the headlights cast a slight lateral glow from the front wheel wells, and the performance is flawless. The model handles firmly on the track and offers balanced handling, just like all the other DTM cars.
