. The sixth Ford GT40 MKII based on a real-life model once again depicts a car from the 1966 Le Mans race. However, the car from the Alan Mann Racing team, driven by John Whitmore and Frank Gardner, retired early due to clutch problems.
The yellow paint scheme stands out sharply against the more subdued colors of the previously released GT40s;erfrischend.Ohnewith no sponsor decals, it almost resembles a street car with a race number—in contrast to the “rolling billboards” of more recent times. On the other hand, the beautiful shape comes across very well— zurGeltung.DasCarrera this model is equipped with the chassis featuring externally mounted magnets. The tires feature the current soft compound found on all new vehiclessind.Die. The finish of the test vehicle is impeccable. Even the “problem area”—the rear—is flawlessly crafted.
We'll have to wait and see if another versionof this elegant racing classic is on the way. Maybe the fourth-place finisher with start number 6?
