Augusto Farfus became known to a wider audience no later than when he entered the ETCC and WTCC in 2004 and 2005, respectively. Initially racing for the Alfa team, he sometimes stood out for his aggressive driving style. In 2007, he switched to BMW and has remained loyal to the brand ever since. His WTCC appearances remain unforgettable, during which his race car was adorned with an oversized “Gustl” logo—the nickname affectionately given to him by his Bavarian pit crew.

Consequently, he was part of BMW’s return to the DTM in 2012, securing a victory in what was still a new series for him by the end of his first season. He maintained his strong form throughout the 2013 season and finished as runner-up.
This exact vehicle was Carrera chosen as the model for this kit. A good choice, because in addition to the already familiar white and black versions, the green-and-blue version adds a splash of color. There’s also no risk of confusion with the DTM models from Audi and Mercedes.

As for handling, there are no surprises—the DTM cars are among the best the Carreralineup has to offer in this regard . The BMW sits firmly on the track, handles corners smoothly, and still posts fast lap times.

Conclusion: yet another excellent addition to the DTM lineup, which now comprises 9 vehicles.
