A Surprising Comeback
It’s one of the bigger surprises this year: the return of the Chevy Dekon Monza. First
Compared to the real car, I’ve noticed two small differences: first, the shape of the underside of the rear spoiler, and second, the color of the headlight covers. However, I’m glad that another version of this model has been released at all, so I can easily live with these two differences. The positive impression outweighs the negatives; the model looks substantial and beefy.
The same applies to weight and handling—the older generation of suspension systems, with magnets that can be removed from the outside, simply falls short in these areas. Once you get used to it and develop a driving style that anticipates the track’s layout, the Chevrolet handles smoothly around the course.
Conclusion: Unfortunately, it’sonly available in the U.S. lineup, but it’s a great new addition that will hopefully make its way to the Club Shop as well.
