It took a long time before the first 1:32-scale vehicle with flashing lights finally became available in 2009. Since then, these cars have enjoyed great popularity, and as a result, additional models with flashing lights on the roof have been released on a regular basis. The first-ever Porsche 911 Police model was even reintroduced to the lineup this year, and the Lamborghini Huracán, in its original Italian police livery
, stands ready as the newest member of this category. Appearance: The proportions, color scheme, and decals leave nothing to be desired; the car simply looks great from every angle. As is typical for vehicles with flashing lights, there is no driver’s interior; instead, the front and side windows are opaque black. The rear window, however, is transparent and offers a clear view of a very impressive replica engine.
The blue light unit on the roof has been given a significantly more (Italian) chic design than the rather clunky light units found on previous emergency vehicles.
Technology:
The chassis is identical to that of the previously introduced green street version, with the exception of the special emergency light decoder. A rigid front axle and a healthy racing weight of just over 100 grams guarantee good, stable handling.
Test Drive:
The lack of weight from a driver has a positive effect on performance; the Lambo is exceptionally snappy and quick off the mark. Depending on the magnet configuration, the full spectrum of performance is possible; the vehicle can be tuned to your liking—whether as a ground-hugging rocket with strong grip or as a good-natured drifter at the limits. The only drawback is the noise level; the body rumbles audibly while driving.
Conclusion:
You don’t have to be a prophet to predict that this vehicle will enjoy similar success to its predecessors. It has everything it needs to succeed.
