Following its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in early March 2015, the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 achieved a remarkable second place in its second race outing in the VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring in autumn 2015. Overall victory was only denied by a time penalty shortly before the end of the race. The new AMG GT3, the successor to the retired SLS GT3, was driven by three AMG test and development drivers: Bernd Schneider, Thomas Jäger, and Jan Seyffarth. All three drivers also played a key role in the development of the race car. A total of more than 12,000 test kilometers were completed with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 during its development.

A few brief comments on the model:
The car is a familiar face, having been in the 1:32 scale range since 2013. There's nothing to criticize about the overall appearance. The paint job is very clean and detailed. It's recommended to remove the exterior mirrors while driving (otherwise, they'll fly off after a few laps upon contact with the enemy). As is typical of this model, acceleration is good, as is the top speed; very good lap times can be achieved with the car.
