The AMG GT3 is the successor to the equally popular and successful SLS GT3. While it lacks gullwing doors, it's still visually impressive. Carrera is launching two designs for this model: the 30767 is more understated, in dark gray with a yellow stripe. The 30768, the version from the 24-hour race in Dubai, is significantly more colorful and therefore my personal favorite. Once again, the rims, with their suggested brake discs, are very finely detailed, as is the driver's helmet.
Technically, everything remains the same as before; the E200 motor delivers power to the rear wheels via an inline magnet arrangement. The magnetic grip can be adjusted to your liking, from "very strong" to "medium" to "no force at all." The lighting is implemented all around with SMD LEDs, with some diffused light emerging from the side wheel arches at the front.
At 108 grams, the car is no lightweight, but it rides very firmly and also very neutrally on the track. Equipped only with a center magnet, it moves very quickly and without any annoying magnetic stickiness. I may have gotten a model with a particularly good engine, because the handling and lap times are better than those of similarly designed GT3 cars of recent times (the Audi R8 LMS and the Lamborghini Huracan).
