Carrera DIGITAL 132 LAMBORGHINI HURACÁN LP 610-4 AVIO
Item no.: 20030790
AIR FORCE Homage
I quote from Lamborghini’s homepage:
With the Huracán Avio, you're not just a driver. You're a racer. So make sure you're buckled up! Now press the start button and experience what it's like to soar in seventh heaven, safely connected to the ground. The incredible power of the Huracán now presents itself in a completely new design, inspired by the glorious history of aviation technology. Aggressive yet elegant, the Huracán Avio pays homage to the courage of the Air Force and offers you entirely new emotions of freedom and adrenaline. Is everyone on board ready for takeoff?
The latest speedster from the Sant' Agata Bolognese racing car factory was unveiled in Geneva in March 2016. The car pays tribute to the aviation industry, from which Lamborghini has drawn much inspiration for its designs.
The vehicle will be produced in a limited series of 250 units, available in only five special colors: "Grigio Falco," "Blu Grifo," "Grigio Nibbio," "Grigio Vulcano," and "Verde Turbine," the names taken from the training emblems of the Italian Air Force Academy. The color variant released by CARRERA is called "Grigio Falco," with the racing stripes and other accents in "Arancio Borealis" (Lamborghini Orange). This version was unveiled in 2016 at the Lyon Air Museum in Costa Mesa, California (for more information, see their website: www.lyonairmuseum.org ). The L63 code on the doors stands for LAMBORGHINI and its founding year, 1963, when tractor manufacturer Ferruccio Lamborghini, allegedly out of anger at Enzo Ferrari, decided to build his own sports cars.
The Carrera Lambo differs from the original in the California photos in its matte finish, but there are also photos online that show the car in a matte finish. The slot car's excellent performance is well known; I refer you to the previous reviews for details.
Best regards
