me, this vehicle was a surprising new release this year. In 2010 and 2011, the street version of the Mercedes SLS was released in just three colors (red, white, dark gray) as well as in two different variants as a pace car. The first variant was&available only in a special set for IdeeSpiel , while the second—visibly modified—was also
released as a standalone model. After a hiatus of several years, the model has now been given a police look and is back on the track. As is Carrera customary with such models , the windows are opaque, and the driver figure has been omitted. Not quite as visually appealing, but great for performance: Thanks to the weight savings, the Mercedes weighs in at just 95 grams and handles accordingly—quickly and reliably. The lights and turn signals can be turned on or off one after another in every conceivable configuration. That brings us to the only criticism: the taillights are relatively dim, while the separately illuminated “Police” lettering on the rear is all the brighter for it. The target audience will likely not be bothered by this at all.
