. 24, in
1:24 scale, is now
available in a second version of the Ford GT Race Car featuring a striking color combination of white and signal red.
The design—which, after all, is a variant with no real-life counterpart—highlights
the car’s lines and is just as easy to imagine on an actual racetrack.
I’ve already shared my thoughts on the real car in the 1:32 review, so I
won’t bore you by repeating myself here .
On the 1:24 scale model, the tire-to-wheel-well ratio is really good—that’s how it should
be on all models… just like on the real cars. On this model, parts of the body,
such as the side skirts, are nicely highlighted by the color scheme.
The vehicle shows no signs of workmanship flaws in its paint job or decals.
The selection and number of decals are pleasantly understated and merely reinforce the impression
created by the vehicle and its paint job. The proportions relative to the real-life vehicle appear to be well
preserved.
Even though the fairly heavy model is slightly handicapped by its weight, it’s
fun on the track. In my opinion, it’s definitely competitive in long-distance races.
See
you later, joergW
