The latest speedster from the race car manufacturer in Sant’Agata Bolognese was unveiled in Geneva in March 2016. The car pays homage to the aviation industry, from which Lamborghini has drawn much of its design inspiration.
The vehicle will be produced in a limited run of 250 units and is available in just five special colors: "Grigio Falco," "Blu Grifo," "Grigio Nibbio," "Grigio Vulcano," and "Verde Turbine," names taken from the course insignia of the Italian Air Force Academy. The color variant released by CARRERA is called “Grigio Falco,” with the racing stripes and other accents in “Arancio Borealis” (Lamborghini Orange). This model was unveiled in 2016 at the Lyon Air Museum in Costa Mesa, California (for more on the museum www.lyonairmuseum.org , see their website: www.lyonairmuseum.org). The “L63” designation on the doors stands for LAMBORGHINI and its founding year, 1963, when tractor manufacturer Ferruccio Lamborghini reportedly decided to build his own sports cars out of anger toward Enzo Ferrari.
