The Second Comeback After

a new design variant of this model was released completely out of the blue back in 2015, this is now the fourth version of the model. The original vehicle is completely unknown in this country, but that doesn’t make it any less interesting. The chosen design is a compromise, as it doesn’t match the model’s body shape 100%. The original vehicle had a significantly lower—but wider—rear spoiler.
Furthermore, it is one of the very few vehicle types still equipped with the older generation of chassis from 2007 and 2008. The advantage of this older design is that the magnets can be adjusted or removed without having to open the vehicle. Drawbacks include the somewhat overcomplicated overall design and the limited steering angle of the keel.
While driving, the model benefits from its relatively thick tires, which provide a surprising amount of grip while also effectively dampening road noise. With a racing weight of approximately 103 grams—depending on the selected magnet configuration—the handling isn’t particularly nimble, but it’s still smooth and balanced. Similar to the larger Nascars, the key is to find a steady rhythm and make the most effective use of momentum. Tracks built exclusively with a curve radius of 1 aren’t necessarily the little Chevrolet’s strong suit; it can better showcase its potential on courses with larger curve radii.
