though it isn't the first safety car in the
The car itself is well-known and well-tested—the Lambo performs not just adequately, but exceptionally well.
The Lambo has appeared as a safety car in the Estintori livery—the simple white base is adorned with red and green longitudinal stripes. The red stripes on the sides, in particular, give the car an even more compact and aggressive appearance, which, in my opinion, enhances its appeal even further.
The original was used in the 2017 Formula 1 series during the race at Monza.
"Estintori" is Italian and means "fire extinguisher"—well, the safety car should already have some on board, but here it’s the anniversary livery for the sponsor and fire extinguisher manufacturer CEA (1967–2017), which also competes with the CEA Squadra Corse racing team.
The yellow-orange special signal on the roof looks relatively small and unassuming at first—but then, when it’s on the track, it really shines; when in use, it looks like a much larger flashing light. Even in the photo of the original, it comes across that way—so the model is actually very true to reality. Okay, the black windows—but honestly, in 1:32 scale, I can live with that; after all, the dummy engine is clearly visible. The controls are as usual (flashing light on/off with or without vehicle lights, no sound—which I think is fine—or just lights on, or everything off)
. The paint job and decals—even the small details—are very well done. The wheel alignment and rim tolerances are just right, and the car runs great—so why not add a little lighting flair to the track? ;-)
Even CEA Squadra Corse writes on its Facebook page, “... "This is as beautiful as the original ..." (Just as beautiful as the original)
