Art.Nr. 31046
The latest FORD Capri RS 3100 from CARRERA, item no. 31046, features the classic 1970s flower power design. The most famous vehicle with this type of paint scheme is probably the legendary Porsche 917. But other manufacturers have also adapted this design for their race cars. The Capri, for example, is available not only in the dark green-light green paint scheme seen on this model, but also in blue-red.
FORD has a completely different status in the United Kingdom than it does here in Germany. What VW is in Germany, FORD is on the island. Among the Anglo-Saxons & , the FORD-loving classic car owner can get every spare part, every tuning &part and& accessory—even complete bare chassis, if desired—to rebuild his racing classic. One example is the company “Ric Wood Motorsport,” which, upon request, will build you a brand-new RS3100 from scratch for racing (if you have the necessary funds. A lot of spare change…). This page offers a few glimpses of the vehicle.
Their website features this model as well as the red-and-blue Ford mentioned earlier. The CARRERA model is thus based on a real car.
I only realized just how popular the first-generation Capri is here this past spring: At the parts market of my own classic car club (100 members), there were two brand-new Capri 1s: one with a standard body and a 3-liter Essex V6, the other a wide-body version with a 2.9-liter Cosworth V6 from the Ford Scorpio. Both owners were around 25 years old. Her dad showed up in a 55-year-old Transit… ????
CAPRI rules!
