Carrera D132/Evo Opel GT Race II

A classic in every respect
Test report by CoMod Carrera124 on the Carrera DIGITAL 132 / Evolution Ople GT Race II (30575/27370)

What do you write about a vehicle that everyone really knows?

We're talking about the Opel GT. After three variants were released last year, another racing variant is now being launched, which has been christened 'Race 2'.

The color scheme is both classic and appealing: a strong orange-red with black decorative stripes. This suits the little Opel perfectly. Observant old fans will find the color combination familiar: obviously a rarer version of the Universal 132 Porsche Turbo served as a source of inspiration.

The chassis is identical to the previously released variants: the relatively low weight is an advantage, giving the vehicle an extremely aggressive acceleration capacity. The independent front suspension is still not my cup of tea, but it has no negative influence on the handling here.

The adhesive force of the magnets is extremely strong - for greater driving pleasure it is advisable to remove at least the rear magnet.
