FORCE Tribute
I quote from the Lamborghini website:
“With the Huracán Avio, you’re not just an ordinary driver. You’re a race car driver.” So make sure you’re buckled in tight! Now press the start button and experience what it means to float in seventh heaven while remaining firmly grounded. Inspired by the glorious history of aviation, the Huracán’s incredible power is now on full display in a completely new design. Aggressive yet elegant, the Huracán Avio pays homage to the courage of the Air Force and offers you entirely new sensations of freedom and adrenaline. Is everyone on board ready for takeoff?
The latest speedster from the race car manufacturer in Sant’Agata Bolognese was unveiled in Geneva in March 2016. The car pays homage to the aviation industry, from which Lamborghini has drawn a great deal of inspiration for its designs.
The vehicle will be produced in a limited series of 250 units and is available in just 5 special colors: “Grigio Falco,” “Blu Grifo,” “Grigio Nibbio,” “Grigio Vulcano,” and “Verde Turbine”—names taken from the class crests of the Italian Air Force Academy. The color variant released by CARRERA is called “Grigio Falco”; the racing stripes and other accents are highlighted in “Arancio Borealis” (Lamborghini Orange). This model was unveiled in 2016 at the Lyon Air Museum in Costa Mesa, California (for more information on the museum, see its website: ) www.lyonairmuseum.org . The “L63” designation on the doors stands for LAMBORGHINI and its founding year, 1963, when tractor manufacturer Ferruccio Lamborghini reportedly decided to build his own sports cars out of anger toward Enzo Ferrari.
