1:24 scale, is now
available as a second version of the Ford GT Race Car, featuring a striking color combination of white and signal red.
The design—since this is a variant with no real-world counterpart—highlights
the vehicle’s lines and is just as easy to imagine on a real racetrack.
I’ve already commented on the real vehicle in my 1:32 review and
don’t want to bore you by repeating myself here .
On the 1:24 scale model, the tire-to-wheel-well ratio is really good—that’s how it should
be on all models… just like on the real cars. On this model, parts of the body—
such as the side skirts—are nicely accentuated by the color scheme.
The vehicle shows no signs of workmanship flaws in the paint job or decals.
The selection and number of decals are pleasingly understated and merely reinforce the impression
created by the vehicle and its paint job. The proportions relative to the prototype appear to be well
preserved.
Even though the rather heavy model is slightly handicapped by its weight, it’s
fun to run on the track. In my opinion, it’s definitely competitive in long-distance races.
