There’s relatively little to report here. As is customary with large-scale models, the motor is mounted as a Sidewinder, and lighting is provided by SMD LEDs. Also part of the chassis is the massive rear diffuser, which is partially painted.
If you’re bothered by the (prototype-accurate) slightly off-center positioning of the front axle in the wheel wells, you can use a small round file to slightly file out the screw holes in the front axle mount, thereby shifting the front axle slightly backward.
Body:
This has already been discussed at length in the “Form” section… some think the windshield is too small, while others are bothered by the “Decent Decade” decals. The driver’s compartment also turned out to be a bit too spartan. Despite these details, however, the overall impression is still positive; it’s undoubtedly a successful scale model of the Zaspeed Capri Turbo.
Test
drive:As always, I remove the magnets completely, and the car handles quite nicely in principle. However, the comparatively high weight (by comparison: the BMW M1 Procar weighs only about 200 grams) is noticeable here. The grip of the stock tires is sufficient, provided the track is clean enough and you allow the tires some time to break in.
