The CARBON Corvette

was founded by Reeves Callaway back in 1979. If you're unfamiliar with CALLAWAY, I recommend visiting the Connecticut-based guys' website (www.callawaycars.com) and then googling the vehicles in question. Some of them are truly awesome.
Callaway has made a name for itself in the USA primarily as a Corvette tuner.
The Carrera version of the Callaway Corvette C7 GT3-R with the number 26 was used by the CALLAWAY COMPETITION USA team with this livery in 2018, including in the Pirelli World Challenge in St. Petersburg and in COTA, Austin, Texas.

By the way, there is also a German CALLAWAY team, the Callaway Competition racing team in Leingarten near Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg.
“Our Corvette GT3 is unique, just like every single one of your products.”
This slogan, among others, is used by the Swabian racing team on its website. Managing Director Ernst Wöhr's team will field only one brand: the Chevrolet Corvette (of course...). Callaway founder Reeves C. is fitting: "We're competing here in Germany with the only real race car in the USA." Callaway Germany is the longest-serving team in the ADAC GT Masters and has already won the driver and team classifications twice.
The German company also produces custom-made body elements for racing cars made entirely of carbon fiber. For example, the majority of the body of the current Corvette C7 GT3/R is a pure carbon solution.
