Mike Rockenfeller is a DTM veteran. Although he was never quite able to replicate his 2013 championship victory, he remained a fixture in the Class1 DTM right up until the end.
For the 2019 season, his race car changed colors. Whereas he had previously competed in the distinctive Schaffler design, he now took to the track with the “Akrapovi?” logo. Akrapovi? is a Slovenian manufacturer of exhaust systems, and Audi wanted to honor the ten-year partnership at the time with the race car’s design. In the press, the initiative was even referred to as a “special vehicle” or “special design.”
The model captures the intricate detailing very well, and its performance is in line with what we’ve come to expect: fast and responsive, just like all the other DTM models. As a result, the Audi is another worthwhile addition to what is, for now, the final DTM fleet based on Class 1 vehicles.
