Stock car races in the 70s were characterized by full starting fields, competitive participants right up to the last rows and thrilling battles for position throughout the entire duration of the race. The Ford Torino Talladega was only produced in the first few weeks of 1969 and is now considered a collector's item. In 1969 and 1970, the Talladega won 29 races, far more than any other model. Sports cars from the past
At the Classic 24 Hour Daytona race in Daytona Beach, racing drivers revived legendary races of the past. The 24-hour race not only attracted a record number of participants, but also many motorsport enthusiasts. BMW M1s from the Procar series were also at the start. In 1979 and 1980, the five fastest Formula 1 drivers from the practice runs competed against private drivers in this series. The racing drivers all drove a BMW M1.
The historically inspired racing car in your home
The BMW M1 races around the track on a scale of 1:32. The slot car impresses visually with its Red Bull design and the American flag on the roof. In the 2015 season, Austrian racing driver Lucas Auer switched from Formula 1 to the DTM. Auer sits at the wheel of the Mercedes-AMG C 63, also known as the "Pink Panther", with starting number 22. Since his switch to the DTM, the Austrian and his "Pink Panther" have competed together. In the 2017 season, Auer finished sixth with 136 points.

The "Pink Panther" cuts at least as good a figure in 1:32 scale. The slot car is licensed by DTM and Mercedes and is modeled on the original vehicle of racing driver Lucas Auer down to the smallest detail. You can also upgrade your slot car digitally with the decoder (26732). This makes it possible to do your laps on DIGITAL 132 tracks with up to six slot cars and many other features.

Victory at Silverstone
At the 12-hour race in Silverstone, the first event of the 2018 European Championship of the 24H GT Series, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and its team ROFGO Racing took first place. Despite difficult conditions with heavy rain at times, the driver trio of Roald Goethe, Stuart Hall and Daniel Brown were able to prevail against the competition.
Will it be enough for another victory?
In 1:32 scale, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 now really heats things up in the living room at home. The slot car has a Gulf and Mercedes license and therefore resembles the winning car from Silverstone down to the smallest detail. You can also upgrade your Carrera car digitally with the decoder (26732). This makes it possible to put your skills to the test on DIGITAL 132 tracks.
Porsche 911 RSR - "Carrera No.93"

Despite torrential rain on the podium
The 12-hour race in Monza, northern Italy, is part of the 24h Series of the Dutch agency Creventic. In 2020, the race was briefly interrupted by a red flag due to thunderstorms as the conditions became too dangerous. Despite the heavy rain showers, Herberth Motorsport celebrated an incredible one-two-three at the race at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. Racing drivers Steffen Görig, Stefan Aust and Klaus Bachler skillfully drove the mighty Herberth Porsche across the finish line and achieved a magnificent second place with starting number #93.
