The Star of Dubai
The Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon team, with drivers Khaled Al Qubaisi, Jeroen Bleekemolen, Sean Edwards, and Thomas Jäger, won the seventh running of the Dubai 24 Hours, convincingly defeating strong opposition. With a new distance record of 628 laps (3,385 km), Black Falcon also achieved the first 24-hour victory for the Mercedes SLS AMG GT 3, just one year after its 24-hour debut in the Dubai desert. The second color variant of the SLS Black Falcon has now been tested. We already know this variant from the 132 range.
Here, too, the look seems absolutely consistent when compared to online images. Personally, I like the BIG No. 3 from Dubai a lot better.
The SLS looks great on the track, and not just when stationary. The many colorful details, such as the hood vents and the front flaps, which are white at the top and black at the bottom, are quite remarkable. The rest of the livery was also flawlessly applied to the body, as expected.
The SLS features the latest, most sophisticated technology, which we are already familiar with, so there is nothing new to report here.
The rear magnet was also removed from the Star of Dubai for the test laps, and the SLS also impresses with balanced, tidy, and pleasant handling.
However, you get the feeling it's considerably more agile, which is confirmed when you look at the race lap times. Unfortunately, the fat car's excess weight is noticeable here, too.
Conclusion - the second beautiful variant of the SLS that brings variety to the GT starting field.
