In the 2018/2019 season, Team Project 1 entered two Porsche 911 RSRs in the FIA WEC Super Season (featuring two 24-hour Le Mans races).
When I opened the packaging for the ’57 car, a surprise awaited me beneath the tissue paper. My first thought was, “You know this one; it looks familiar,” but even after thinking about it more deeply, I couldn’t figure it out at first. I hadn’t seen the car either in person or on TV during a race broadcast. It wasn't until I was writing this report that it occurred to me—Mattel Hot Wheels—that's what the car's design reminds me of—not the worst memory ;-), even if it's probably more due to the main sponsor, Wynn's (additives and engine additives). Wynn’s Racing, which competes with AMG vehicles, also uses the striking orange-purple color combination on one of its cars.
The paintwork and decals are flawlessly applied. This is particularly well done in the transitions from the hood to the air vents.
The handling characteristics of the 911-RSR models have already been reported on, so in conclusion, it remains only to mention the free-running axles and the tuning, which is not too aggressive.
