Art.Nr. 31045"

The guys at slotcar today provided the hook for the article about the white-and-green Pantera.
The driver’s name on the car is “T.I.Kerpal”. That refers to an ancient internet prank from 2018 that even made it into “Urban Dictionary.”

Here’s what it’s about:
Kerpal is a fictional character mentioned in a famous prank call (often attributed to the Jerky Boys).
The man in the prank call pretends to be Kerpal and appears to be of ambiguous South Asian descent. A man named Akhtar (the correct Pakistani name) answers the phone. Kerpal then claims that Akhtar’s older daughter kicked his dog. After a few minutes of confusion, it turns out that the daughter doesn't know she kicked Kerpal's dog, let alone who Kerpal is. The call eventually devolves into a shouting match, with Kerpal screaming endless obscenities.

To be honest, I would never have guessed that. That Slottus would come up with something like that doesn’t really surprise me, though…????
A few more words about the car:
The race car has a classic paint job for a beer manufacturer: metallic green on the bottom, white on top. The “Panther Bräu” logo in Tannenberg lettering (Note: Unfortunately, my version of Word doesn’t support this font). Plus a few made-up promotional stickers.
The guys at Slotcar Today point out the connection between Panther-Bräu and Löwenbräu (Panther – Lion), which is certainly one way to look at it. Since CARRERA is now based in Austria, one could, of course, also draw a connection to the Puntigamer brewery, which once produced a “Panther Bräu Spezialbier.” That beer even featured a white-and-green element with a panther on its promotional labels.
But I’m probably just reading way too much into it. As long as I’ve known Leifer Günther, he’s simply been looking for a color-coordinated paint job that he could add a logo to—one that somehow still relates to the car’s name. And he’s done a great job of it!
