(30531)
Timo Scheider achieved what very few race car drivers manage to do: he had long been regarded as a promising talent, and in 2008, he proved it by winning the DTM championship. Not only that, but the following year he even successfully defended his title. Apart from record champion Bernd Schneider, no other DTM driver has ever achieved this feat.
And so here it is on the racetrack—the championship car from the 2009 DTM season. Compared to the real-life model, however, this scale model inevitably differs in a few details, as it still features the 2008 body style. The most obvious difference, of course
, is the rear spoiler. So anyone who values 1000% accuracy to the real car will find something to criticize about this model. Everyone else can look forward to yet another successful version of the Audi A4 DTM.
When it comes to handling, everything remains the same—among all cars with the older chassis generation, the Audi is still one of the better designs. The front splitter features the softer version of the return spring, which enables smooth cornering.
