The third color variant of the Ford GT40 MKII is the car fielded by Shelby American Inc. at the 1966 “12 Hours of Sebring.” The drivers were Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant. However, the car did not cross the finish line under its own power.
TheCarrera miniature is very true to the original. Only the Go “od Year” logos required some improvisation due to licensing issues, but this does not detract from the overall impression. Nevertheless, it raises the question of whether the logos should perhaps be omitted entirely?!
The technical specifications are identical to those of the two versions released in 2009. The improvement in the front lighting is striking; it now shines significantly brighter.
Let’s hope thatCarrera one or two more color variations of this classic will be released.
