Road-going sports cars aren’t exactly the most popular vehicles here at the club. Nevertheless, they’ve been part of Carrera our
DNA since at least the Universal 132 era
. The latest design variant of the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 fits right into this tradition.
What immediately catches the eye, of course, is the metallic blue paint job, which has a very deep sheen and makes the car a real head-turner. The same goes for the faux engine and the interior, whereas the driver’s seat is a bit of a letdown visually.
Without the rear magnet, the car weighs exactly 100 grams. So while record-breaking lap times aren’t necessarily to be expected, this little Lamborghini handles very smoothly on the track, with no unpleasant surprises. What stood out about the test vehicle was its exceptional smoothness and a relatively quiet—and therefore pleasant—driving noise. In addition to the design variants already released, the LaFerrari is also a viable option as a rival vehicle.
Bottom line: For fans of supercars in general—and Lamborghini in particular—this model is definitely worth considering. However, the vast majority will continue to wait for the announced GT3 racing version.
