its world premiere in early March 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show, the new Mercedes-AMG GT3 secured an impressive second-place finish in only its second race—the VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring in the fall of 2015. Only a time penalty shortly before the end of the race prevented it from taking the overall victory. The new AMG GT3, the successor to the retired SLS GT3, was driven by the three AMG test and development drivers Bernd Schneider, Thomas Jäger, and Jan Seyffarth; all three drivers were also instrumental in the development of the race car. In total, more than 12,000 test kilometers were completed with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 as part of its development.

A few brief notes on the model:
The car is a familiar sight; it has been part of the lineup in 1:32 scale since 2013. There’s nothing to complain about when it comes to the overall look. The printing is very clean and detailed. When driving, it’s recommended to remove the side mirrors (since they’ll otherwise fly off on their own after a few laps if they make contact with another car). As expected from this model, the acceleration is excellent, as is the top speed; this car can achieve very good lap times.
