Carrera DIGITAL 124 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 'Petronas, No.28'
Item No.: 20023837
Petronas …
is a state-owned oil company in Malaysia and is one of the 500 largest companies in the world.
Petronas has been a sponsor of motorsports since 1995. Large-format sponsorship logos,
first on Sauber F1 cars, then on BMW/Sauber cars and now on
Mercedes vehicles always showcase their sponsors well. This 1:24 model also features the company logo, large and centrally located on the hood.
Optics:
The Mercedes, in the company colors of Petronas, is of course very good on the track
recognizable, but as a model it appears rather old-fashioned. The beefy and aggressive shape
In my opinion, the Mercedes's character is somewhat lost in this variant.
I still like many details on the model, such as brakes, rims and the vehicle interior
round off the overall impression.
Technology:
Actually, all familiar components. The headlight is bright enough, even for night races.
suitable. Taillights are bright, brake light is clearly visible and could
help prevent a rear-end collision on the track. The tires have sufficient grip, but are
True to the original, it is quite thin, so sanding can only be done with caution.
Processing:
The paintwork and clear coat are cleanly applied. All other
Components such as decals and technical parts are flawless and cleanly assembled.
Wheels and axles rotate smoothly and run smoothly. The vehicle does not cause any problems and can
directly onto the track.
Driving behavior:
The vehicle is already a heavy weight and must be driven accordingly
I find the driving behavior with and without magnet to be quite balanced and
pleasant, although it is not one of my favorite GT cars in 1:24 scale.
Until then
