Surprisingly emerged from obscurity
For me, this vehicle was a surprising new addition this year. In 2010 and 2011, the road version of the Mercedes SLS was released in only three colors (red, white, dark gray), as well as two different versions as a pace car. The first version was only available in a special package for Idee&Spiel, while the second, with a visibly modified appearance, was also available as a standalone model.
After a break of several years, the model has now been given a police look and is back on the track. As is typical with such Carrera models, the windows are opaque and the driver's insert has been omitted. Not quite as aesthetically pleasing, but good for performance: Thanks to the weight savings, the Mercedes weighs just 95 grams and can be driven accordingly quickly and reliably. The lights and indicators can be switched on or off sequentially in every conceivable configuration. This brings us to the only criticism: the taillights glow comparatively dimly, while the separately illuminated "Police" lettering on the rear is all the brighter. This probably won't bother the target audience much.
