The 132 model, featuring the classic Ford Motorcraft design, was released to mark the 50th anniversary of IMSA. It was raced by the Chip Ganassi Racing Team, for example, at the 2019 24 Hours of Daytona. The car, competing in the GTLM class there, ultimately finished 27th in the race—a subsequent time penalty resulted in a final ranking of 28th.
The white base color with the signal-red accents is highly visible on the track and makes it easy to distinguish from other cars while driving. The printing and decals are clean and true to the original. I could not find any flaws in the workmanship or the technical components. The tires are
The massive rear diffuser is, of course, only of limited use on steep turns, but who actually uses a steep turn 1 on their track anyway? Otherwise, the handling is great—the car moves quickly. Nothing stands in the way of a slot car race with other GT cars from the D132 series. When choosing your own car, visual and brand-specific reasons certainly always play a role—for me, it could very well be this Ford RaceCar.
