Carrera Digital 132 Chevrolet Corvette C7R "No. 64"

The latest model of the Chevrolet Corvette C7R in Carrera the 2020 lineup is a replica of the version used by the Corvette Racing Team in 2018. Normally, the factory team’s cars are painted yellow (see also the model with item no. 30701).

This particular paint scheme was unique; it was executed in the so-called Redline design and used in only one race: the 2018 6-Hour Race of Shanghai in the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The race in Shanghai was, alongside the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the only Corvette race outside the U.S. in 2018. Normally, the CORVETTE competes only in the IMSA series; however, since the American racing series was already on its winter break in November, the team made a guest appearance at the upcoming 6-hour race in Shanghai.
The drivers were Oliver Gavin and Tommy Milner. The car competed in the GTE Pro class against the factory cars from Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Ford, and Porsche
and finished in 8th place.
