Several Porsche 911 RSRs were on the starting grid for the 2018 race at the historic Silverstone circuit. Mike Wainwright’s team competed in the GTE-Am class and finished 6th overall. A striking feature of their race car was the classic Gulf livery, which looks great on this modern vehicle as well. This is likely to put this very model on the wish list of quite a few slot car fans.
Visually, the model is impressive, and technically, everything is as expected. Due to the car’s width, caution is advised during head-to-head battles; otherwise, a paint-to-paint collision can happen quickly. On the other hand, the wide track also ensures excellent road holding—even when running without magnets, the car shows virtually no tendency to tip over in corners.
