Consumers and ElektroG

As a consumer, you have the following options for disposing of electrical or electronic equipment safely and responsibly:

As in the past, they use the collection and recycling points of the public waste disposal authorities (e.g. municipal recycling centres).
Your old device is still in good condition or can be repaired. Maybe a donation to a charitable organization is still a good way to reuse it?
You have purchased an electrical or electronic device from Carrera that falls under the regulations of the ElektroG; in this case, you can return your old appliance of the same type of appliance and which essentially fulfils the same functions as the new appliance to Carrera.
You can return (regardless of the purchase of a new device from Carrera) old devices that are not longer than 25 cm in any dimension.

For the latter two options, you can use the following method at Carrera:

Old appliances with a weight of up to 31 kg and the maximum parcel dimensions of 120 x 60 x 60 cm can be returned freight collect (postage paid by the recipient) with DHL (Germany) or GLS (Austria).

Please note the following important information:

Data protection: In any case, you are responsible for ensuring that there is no personal data on the old devices you return. Therefore, make sure that you have deleted your personal data from your old device before returning it.

Lamps and lighting fixtures: Lamps and lighting fixtures should be packed with special care before returning, as they can easily break during transport and release harmful substances. They are well padded from all sides. Use a sufficiently large and sturdy cardboard box.

Batteries in appliances: Remove all batteries and rechargeable batteries from the appliances (if possible) and dispose of them for battery disposal.
